CANADIAN ROTARIAN’S TAKEN TO COURT @ Hamilton
24/11/14 – The incoming Rotarian Canadian Curlers are finishing their 4-week tour to Scotland at end of this week and on Monday, 24th November they visited Hamilton Ice Rink. Welcome banners and a piper were on hand to greet the arrival of the Canadians and at 2.30pm 45 curlers were piped onto the ice for a friendly game. After the curling everybody enjoyed a lovely meal before participating in a Curlers Court.
The visitors returned for another game on Tuesday 25th November before moving onto Greenacres.
Four Lanark CC curlers participated ie Alistair Mackintosh AM (the Rotarian Captain): Frank Caddel FC: David Gemmell DG and Anne Hood AH. Bill Jackson BJ was unable to curl as he had pulled a shoulder muscle but Bill was there for the social activities.
