LIR – Farmers – Winners – Team Baird & Team Waddell

Four members of LCC – Bill Jackson (BJ) Tom Steele (TS) Jack Hood (JH) and Dorothy Jackson (DJ) along with Tom’s brother Charlie Steele – Ayr Curling Club, last week took part in the Annual Farmers Bonspiel at the LIR. Unfortunately they did not manage to qualify from the initial stages but interestingly they ran the the eventual winners of the High Road (Team Baird) a close 5/7 even with a ‘pick-up’ on Charlie’s (Skip) last stone draw to the shot, in the 5th, giving Willie’s rink a 4. Up to this point Team BJ had been leading.  c’est la vie! 🙁
