OTH – Garrion Curling Club_17 – Interested In More ‘Lightweight’ Curling

Dear fellow curler,

Garrion Curling Club is a very small club. We operate with a membership of 5 couples.

Unfortunately, we lost 2 couples last year. We were unable to find replacements for the present season and had to cancel our ice and withdraw for a year.

We are still looking for 2 couples to join us for the season 2017/18 onwards.

Each couple will play 4 rink games, 4 pairs games and 1 “festive friendly” during the season. Our season runs from October to February and our dates are well spaced out within that period.

The emphasis in Garrion is on competitive play in a friendly and sociable atmosphere. We take the 5.45 ice on either Tuesdays or Thursdays and we all stay for supper at the ice rink after the game. We are all members of other clubs and, on occasion, someone has a commitment to play on the following ice in which case you just have to gobble a sandwich while the rest of us go for supper!!
