PRL – Knockout_19 – Were Oot!

Lesmahagow – Tom McGregor, Tom Steele (yes of Lanark fame but he’s coming back to the fold second half of the Season (:>), Iain McAlister, Jim Stewart

Well a close game last night against Lesmahagow. After 6 ends we were all square at 4 all (3 ends each).

Into the 7th with the final stone. Lesmahagow lying on the back in-turn 4′ – Jack’s second in-turn draw just scrapes past the Lesmahagow guard to come to rest just in front of it on the 2′. Impossible to draw to on the in-turn.  Tom ops to have Iain’s first stone to draw around centre line guard on the out-turn – looking good and just scrapes past but suddenly loses it’s handle but ends up on the button in front of Jack’s stone.

The game progresses with guards and attempted  take-outs to a crucial point –  Bob’s first stone – ops for an in-turn draw but catches a front guard and spins off to back in-turn 8′ just past T-line. Tom elects to block the draw with his last stone but it over curls allowing Bob to use our stone sitting on in-turn 8′ to try roll off for the one. The pace is just a wee bit too heavy and hangs catching the outside of the stone. One to Lesmahagow and 5/4 for the game.
