Were Back – With Some Changes
Hi all,
And welcome to a new curling season.
Now in discussion with our Committee there has been a few changes made to our Website to allow you easier access to specific pages & tables.
Consequently our HOMEPAGE has been modified with a series of BUTTONS with the relevant links.
As mentioned in some previous Postings, our site is Responsive ie it’s designed to display easily within a mobile, tablet etc, however within some browsers the Page Menus are a wee bit more ‘reclusive’.
So coming onto our Homepage the first thing you’ll notice is this Posting under LATEST POSTS (listing the last 5 Posts). Below this is where all the buttons are ensconced. The initial buttons:
QUICKLINK (if you are trying to trackdown a Page, Table, File use this Search facility)
CALENDAR, (display in Month, Week or Day – your preference?)
MEMBERS (Database. Password Protected – a separate email will advise you of the access code).
Further on we have the various competitions. The first selection is our own and joint New Monklands (NMK). Then we have OUTSIDE (ie outwith the Club).
Along with the competition name, the buttons are colour coded to relate to our Calendar’s Categories (see the bottom of Calendar) and the Outside competitions also have the a short code added ie: LIR – A Lanarkshire Ice Rink competition, PRB – Biggar……. Province Competition. (see QUICKLINK – bottom of the Listings for further abbreviations)
Also, a wee change this year, the Club’s Match Secretary – Gordon Fraser has taken on the task of inputting match details on our Calendar. Bare with him as he gets to grips with the idiosyncrasies of the Site and Calendar (there maybe some changes made to the Calendar to allow you to print out a monthly listing. We are having some problems with this. Again I will email you to advise of the changes).
And. There are also some additions to the Site in the pipeline to allow you to intercommunicate between members outwith emailing lists. This is in discussion with your Committee as to the benefits. We’ll keep you aware of developments.
Trust all makes sense, but if you have any questions please email or phone.
Cheers
Jack (Alias Weby)
