EULOGY ENTRY

Curling became another passion for both Anne and Jack. JoiningLanark Curling Club in 1993 with Jack joining some three years later. Jack went on to represent Scotland against the USA in the successful 2007 Tour (see 2007 TOUR).

Jointly the two went on to take part in many Tours and Competitions in Europe, the States, Canada and New Zealand. Her dedication to the sport led her to become the President of the club and the ladies’ section of the Hamilton Ice Rink. Along with Meg, Donald and Jim, Anne’s coaching skills inspired future generations of curlers with her unique way of imparting knowledge

Anne was President of Lanark Curling Club (2014-16) and Past President of Hamilton Ice Club’s (Ladies Section – TBA ????). She was also Secretary of LCC for a number of years taking over again from a well ‘kent’ Member – Anne Ramsay (see LCC MEMBERS).

Enjoying both competitive and social side of curling Anne was always up for Visits and ‘Tours’ to other Clubs & Rinks – in the UK & Abroad:

 Canada, Czech Republic, England, Italy, GERMANY, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland

THE GREAT TURKEY SHOOT

As was Anne’s nature you would usually find her involved in some aspect of organising or helping to organise ‘something’. So it was with THE GREAT TURKEY SHOOT raising money for The Ice Club and other interesting enterprises.

In due course this Page will be expanded to reflect Anne’s fuller involvement with the Sport.
